Crust and topping ingredients:
Mix all of the ingredients above like a pie crust. Put all but 1c in a 9x13 inch pan. Save that 1c to sprinkle over the top of the kuchen. Place 5c rhubarb over the top of the pie crust you just lied down.
Sugary goodness:
Cook the sugary goodness in a small pot until it thickens. Take off heat. Add 1T butter and 1/2 t vanilla and stir. Pure this over the rhubarb then sprinkle the 1c of topping over it. You can add nuts if you please - but we do not.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes until just turning brown. Do not bake until too brown, it would be overdone.
